Peepel Online Applications
Google is not the only provider with a free set of online applications. Peepel also a free system. It' seems pretty basic in terms of functions but might be a good solution for younger students.

Very interesting- especially considering what a memory pig Office is - maybe could use this to repurpose older laptops that only have 32 Mb of RAM.
Actually, the computer could get away with less if the browser was run from a Linux computer.
